Strategic Public Relations Group (SPRG) currently has over 300 staff in 15 offices all over Asia with more than 300 clients on retainer in their group. As a corporate communications intern, I assisted the team in managing several accounts such as Bras Basah Bugis, National Arthritis Foundation and Asia Pulp and Paper. My duties include daily media monitoring, social media monitoring and content curation on both Instagram and Facebook and ideation for campaign proposals for SG Enable, National Gallery Singapore, Beyond Social Services and Saint Clare School. Over my time at SPRG, I have become very familiar with the works behind all forms of media monitoring as well as press release writing. In the final months of my internship, I even had the chance to work with a colleague to carry out National Arthritis Foundation (NAF) virtual fund-raising event. My main role was to be a liaison between the media and NAF. The event was a success with more than $130,000 received in donations. With the Singapore Tote Board’s Enhanced Fund-Raising Programme which provides charities with dollar-for-dollar matching support, that sum is doubled to $260,000 for this unique virtual charity drive.  I endeded my internship with a grade of pass with commendation.

School of Management and Communication, Vice-president

May 2019 - June 2020

As the vice president of the School of Management and Communications (SMC), I was mainly in charge of the manpower matters that happens within the club and the school. Throughout and even before my term, I have led and been heavily involved in the planning of several events. The more notable ones would be the Freshman Orientation Program (FOP) and ONERP camp. During FOP, my team and I lead a group of 100+ student leaders in preparation for approximately 500 freshmen. Whereas the ONERP camp was planned for the student leaders from the various clubs in Republic Polytechnic which amounted up to approximately 100+ participants.

Through the planning of these events, I've picked up several skills that I am sure would be extremely beneficial for my colleagues and me when I enter the workforce. These skills include teamwork, determination, and the ability to point out potential pitfalls in our plans. Moreover, I have developed strong event management skills which would effectively help me carry out campaigns. I have also learned and understood the importance of publicity while working closely with my publicity head.

As a Diploma in Mass Communication Student Ambassador, I was chosen to represent my diploma together with three other representatives and representatives from the other diplomas and we were sent on an all-expenses covered trip to Hong Kong where we attended the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), Centre for Entrepreneurship Future Leaders Programme in Digital and Technology Entrepreneurship. Throughout the five days there, we attended several lessons with their school's professors who shared with us more on works of a start-up. We even had the chance to meet the founders of several reputable start-ups as guided by the representatives of CUHK. The overall experience was extremely fulfilling and I was even trusted with the task of social media content creation for my School's Instagram page throughout the five days trip.
